The Keystone Family
Keystone Alliance is a family of nonprofits that all share a powerful mission, to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live, work, recreate, and participate fully in their community. Our member organizations provide quality services and support for hundreds of people and families in dozens of communities in Illinois.
Early pioneers in the community-based nonprofit delivery of services for people with developmental disabilities, our member organizations have grown to become critical parts of healthy communities in Illinois. They help people and families, contribute to local economies and provide thousands of jobs in communities throughout Cook and Lake Counties.
Glenkirk is a community-based non-profit organization. Glenkirk programs serve more than 600 people and their families annually at locations throughout North Lake and Cook Counties. Glenkirk provides quality, lifetime supports and services that empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate fully in all areas of community life.
Glenkirk has provided high quality programs and services to individuals with intellectual disabilities since 1954. Glenkirk offers a variety of residential, day and employment programs, as well as respite, medical, behavioral and home-based services.
Search, Inc. is a community-based non-profit organization. Search programs serve more than 600 people and their families annually at locations throughout the Chicagoland area. Search empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their full potential, accept a valued role in their community and lead rich, rewarding lives.
Search has provided high-quality, person-centered services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 48 years. Services include supported living arrangements, adult learning programs and career services, as well as medical, behavioral, therapeutic and home-based services.
The Keystone Foundation
The Keystone Foundation was founded in 2009 through the same partnership that led to the formation of the Keystone Alliance. The Keystone Foundation was established to provide Glenkirk and Search with a source of permanent financial stability through a myriad of development and advocacy endeavors.
As a member of Keystone Alliance, the Keystone Foundation works collaboratively with Glenkirk and Search to support each organizations unique development, fundraising and advocacy needs.Like Glenkirk and Search, the Keystone Foundation believes that individuals with intellectual disabilities deserve the same opportunities as everyone else to lead rich, rewarding lives. This belief is at the core of all that we do to support their important services and supports for people with disabilities.
